Rhonda Mitchell brings a unique perspective to BWDC through her work with various institutions, including the Department of Cultural Affairs, Cal State University, Los Angeles, and nonprofit work at South Bay Center for Counseling, Facing History, and Ourselves, and All Saints Church. She’s earned a Master of Science Degree in Counseling Psychology, an MFA in Creative Writing, and several writing fellowships through PEN America, Esalen, and Voices of Our Nations Arts. She currently serves as the Communications Director for Council District Eight. She is the mother of one.
